About me
Hello! I'm Brittany and I went to Virginia State University, where I majored in Biology. I initially wanted to go to Medical School, but I pivoted my final year of undergrad. Afterwards, I worked as a microbiologist for 1 year before starting Law School at the University of Pennsylvania. I am interested in Intellectual Property, particularly in the life sciences/healthcare/biotech space. Currently, I am an incoming Full-Time Associate at Fish & Richardson P.C., where I will be representing pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients in patent litigation involving biologics, diagnostics, and therapeutic technologies. Previous to this, I was a Summer Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell, where I worked on complex IP litigation and advisory matters involving pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. During that time, I supported case strategy on patent disputes related to biologics, medical devices, and diagnostic technologies, which deepened my interest in high-stakes technical litigation and reinforced my commitment to this field. I come from a background shaped by overcoming adversity, and I identify as ethnically diverse URM, first-generation, and low-income, having grown up in a rural or underrepresented area. These experiences have strongly influenced how I approach opportunity, mentorship, and access within the legal profession, and continue to ground my perspective in my work today.
