About me

Hi! My name is Alex Busch - I received my Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law, where I specialized in Media & Entertainment and Technology Law. Throughout law school, I was fortunate to receive various essay-based scholarships and take on several leadership roles that shaped both my professional and personal growth, including serving as Chief Editor for the UCLA Law Review, Editor in Chief of the National Law Journal, and Co-Chair for the Law Students Association. I was also a member of the UCLA Trial Team, which strengthened my passion for advocacy, collaboration, and communication. I’m also a fellow of the SEO Law Fellowship Program and participated in mentorship programs with Baker McKenzie and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, experiences that gave me valuable insight into the legal profession and connected me with mentors who continue to inspire me today. Before law school, I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Claremont McKenna College, where I was recognized with $80,000 in essay-based scholarships. Some of my most meaningful experiences there came from working closely with students and the campus community as a tour guide, orientation advisor, and resident assistant. Professionally, I’ve had the opportunity to gain experience across a range of legal settings through internships and clerkships at leading firms and organizations. Currently, I am a Legal Intern at Eventbrite, where I support policy development and global compliance audits. I have also clerked at Tyler Chou Law for Creators, conducting legal research on copyright and contracts, and at Novian & Novian LLP, where I drafted legal motions and complaints, including high-profile cases involving entertainment law. Additionally, I was a Summer Associate at Hogan Lovells US LLP, working in the Litigation, Arbitration, Employment, and M&A practice groups. During that time, I collaborated with IBM in-house counsel on M&A and IP projects related to AI, an experience that deepened my interest in the intersection of law, technology, and innovation.
